Indoor Pool Re-tiling Project

Council is undertaking a rectification project to replace the indoor flooring with anti-slip tiles and fix minor drainage issues. This includes the change rooms, toilets and pool surrounds. As with all major refurbishment projects, there will be some inconvenience to pool users while the works are undertaken. The Oasis Management appreciates your patience and understanding while these works are underway.

How will it improve the Oasis?
The highest grade slip resistant tiles, which comply with Australian standards, will ensure people are safe when walking around the indoor pool complex.

Additional drainage grates will be installed throughout the poolside area and change rooms to improve drainage and prevent localised water pooling.

How will the works affect pool users?
The change rooms and toilets will be out of use from 22 April, for approximately nine weeks, while re-tiling is completed. Temporary change rooms and showers will be available during the 9 weeks.

The indoor pool complex will be completely shut for three weeks from 29 April to 20 May while the contractors complete the demolition and removal of the existing tiles.

Depending on weather conditions, the outdoor pool will remain open during this time.

The indoor pool area will reopen for swimming on 20 May. Tiling will be undertaken in stages during this time and swimmers are asked to take note of out-of-bounds areas.

The Session 1 Learn to Swim program will run from 29 January – 14 April (11 weeks).
*Please note Monday lessons will be 10 weeks due to the 28th January 2019 public holiday

Session 2 and 3 Learn to Swim programs are unaffected.

What if I’ve already paid for swimming lessons?
We will be providing a full refund for the 4 weeks of swimming lessons that will be ceased due to the project (lessons occurring after the 14th April). Once the form has been returned to the Oasis with proof of payment (as outlined on the refund form) via email or handed into reception we will process all refunds ASAP. Please allow up to 14 working days to receive your refund into your nominated bank account. To access the refund form, please click here.

Can I put the 4 lessons into family credit?
Yes, if you wish to put the amount into family credit to put towards Session 2 instead of receiving a refund, please select this option on the refund form.

How does this affect my membership?
We will be offering membership extensions for 3 weeks from 29th April-20th May for those who have paid upfront for memberships. For those who pay via direct debit, we will be suspending payments for the 3 weeks.

Will I be able to use the 50m pool?
We will endeavor to keep the 50m pool open for as long as possible weather permitting.

Mid-September: Project completion.
