What is the Active Kids Rebate?
The NSW Government has implemented an Active Kids program to encourage children to participate in sport and fitness activities, including swimming lessons.
Who is eligible to claim the voucher?
Every child (4.5 - 18 years’ old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 is eligible. This includes those who are homeschooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW. One voucher will be available for every child in your family annually over the next four years. The rebate is not means tested.
How long are the vouchers valid?
The vouchers are valid for redemption from 31st January and expire on 31st December 2018. Vouchers for 2019 and beyond will commence 1st January and expire 31 December.
Can I use the voucher for swimming lessons at the Oasis?
Yes, vouchers can be used for our Swim and Survive program as each session is longer than 8 weeks. If you would like to use your 2018 Active Kids Voucher in swimming lessons, you must be enrolled by 22nd October to gain the 8 weeks of lessons.
What can’t the voucher be used for?
Vouchers cannot be used for individual items such as sports equipment, accessories, etc. Programs that are less than 8 weeks’ duration.
How do you apply for a voucher?
Parents/guardians need to visit www.service.nsw.gov.au and create an account or login. From 31 January, you will be able to complete an Active Kids application through your MyServiceNSW account. You will receive a voucher with a unique ID number for each child you register.
